Briefly about the project
This family cruiser was Ed's childhood car. He set out to restore the trusty wagon to be safe and reliable. He also had aspirations of towing a small Airstream travel trailer and realized that the tired 300C.I. original engine was not going to give him the power he needed. Since his dad was the original owner he felt obligated to keep the power plant Buick. So he went with the performance built big block 455CI Buick engine mated to a 200R4 overdrive transmission. He also went with the FAST Fuel Injection System for improved drivability and fuel efficiency Ed also wanted modern a/c and a better vent system inside the car. He wanted it to look clean and stock both at the engine compartment and at the dash. We gave Greg Sisk the task to integrate the new a/c hoses with the existing piping and make it go through the firewall like it belonged there. The overall result is a unique car that has features that look original but never came on that car. This classic wagon now moves like no Buick Wagon from 1965!
